STRATFOR Annual Forecast
For those who would like to learn more about geopolitics on a daily basis, I'd recommend a trial run @ STRATFOR.
I pay most attention to what's up w/: China; Hamas; Hezbollah; India; Iran; Palestinian-Israeli Conflict; Pakistan. I was never focused on Russia. I also pay attention to what's up w/Mexico. The predictions are that the ruling party in Mexico, under Felipe Caleron's leadership, will have to bring the levels of internal violence down. Chihuahua & Sonora, as well as Sinola, Tamaulipas, Nevo Leon, and perhaps Michoachan could be spots of violence.
For my money, I'd not travel to Mexico.
I hope that we have Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
I'll post my own proposed Comprehensive Immigration Reform outline soon here.
For those who want all illegals out of the country, ponder this:
What, exactly, do you have in mind when you envision removing from 10 - 14 MILLION human beings from our lands?
That would be between 4 & 8 MILLION deportees more than all the Jews exterminated in the Holocaust, plus the 1-2 million who were deported, but survived. Do you REALLY think the U.S. will ever regain it's moral position in the global circle of nations when we deport thousands each day, for several years?
And, of course, perhaps you somehow think that this could occur w/a minimum amount of $$$. And, do you really think this could occur w/out some groups fighting back? Ready for urban warfare w/illegals unwilling to leave?
Or, is that what you REALLY hope will happen?
Get a grip.
This can be handled humanely. And effectively. And, collect us some back taxes & back payments on social security, w/out any right to withdraw funds early.
Hell, we might even make money on this proposal!!!!!
